Single scrapbook page of very thin paper with two typed short letters glued/attached to it. The first letter, dated January, 2001 and addressed to "the Veterans of the 731 Engineers," references the LST-325 Gold Crew's trip across the Atlantic before recounting some experiences of the writer in WWII including time spent aboard an LST (sleeping on the main deck in a makeshift tent, and "baby sitting a monkey" found inside one of the trucks). The second letter provides a brief summary of one of the crewmember's (Phil Dodge) memories brought back by the news coverage of the Gold Crew's trip in 2001.
