Color scan of 4 photos of U.S.S. Newport (LST-1179) taken in 1972. The photos were printed on unusual material, giving photos sepia tint and odd texture with minor loss of detail. All photos have "1972" written on back in pen and black marks on top at front. The U.S.S. Newport was the first of its namesake class of LSTs built by the United States.

Top Left - Bow ramp from main deck
Top Right - Stern of U.S.S. Newport while moored
Bottom Right - Larry C. Ricketts aboard ship
Bottom Left - Davit with whale boat, 2 jeeps secured to the deck
