Object ID:
2017.009.043
Object Name:
Print, Photographic
Description:
Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-483 (U.S.S. Brewster County) sailing along an unknown coastline. The ship is carrying LCT-394 on the main deck and both davits appear to be loaded with LCVPs. The ship is painted with the mottled camoflage style used for LSTs in the Pacific Theater. The ship's number is stamped in gold lettering at the bottom and "The Naval Institute Collection" is printed in the lower right corner. On back, "1/44" is written in pencil in the upper right corner, pobly indicating a date (though unverifiable) for the photograph.
