Print of 2 photos taken on or of LST-611 during its time in Leyte, Philippines together on single sheet of high quality paper. The photo on the left of the page shows Lt.jg Clayton N Ridout with a pipe aboard LST-611 and features the caption "A rough looking character, I know. Forgot to put my dark glasses on. Aboard ship, 1945" (originally on the back) beneath the photo. The right photo depicts LST-611 loading vehicles and supplies through the bow doors and is captioned by the text " 'The Day before we were bombed. Loading at Leyte.' LST-611 was laid down on 17 December 1943 at Seneca, Ill., by the Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.; and commissioned on 15 May 1944, Lt. Roy E. Burton, Jr., USNR, in command." (originally on back) underneath.
