Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-836 (U.S.S. Holmes County) moored to a buoy in an unknown location. There are no vehicles or cargo on the main deck, but the ship does have a large pontoon-bridge segment or barge secured on the port side. The port davit appears to be empty, while the starboard davit has a boat of some kind secured there. The ship's number is stamped in gold lettering at the bottom and a copyright mark for Our Navy, Inc. is printed in the bottom right corner.
