Description:
Digital scans of a scrapbook assembled by Sherrill William Harger commemorating his service in the US Navy, aboard LST-245 as a Machinist's Mate, 3rd Class (MoMM 3/c) during World War II. The scrapbook consists of 46 separate 2-sided pages with photos, newspaper clippings, letters, envelopes, cards, and wartime currency all mounted and organized inside a dark blue 3-ring binder with stickers and a photo of LST-245 decorating the outside. The scrapbook also features a pouch inside the front cover which holds a number of documents (following cataloged items) and number of different pins and ribbons on the inside of the back cover. Worn USN ring hung on top ring of binder.
