Description:
Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-1080 (U.S.S. Pender County) moored in an unknown location the bow doors open and ramp lowered. The ship is secured next to another unidentified LST and a third ship, LST-836 (U.S.S. Holmes County) can be seen in the background on the right side. The main deck does not appear to be loaded though a large white screen can be seen set up near the cargo hatch, possibly for showing movies. The port davit is loaded with an LCVP but the starboard davit is empty. The ship's number is stamped in gold lettering near the bottom and a copyright mark for Our Navy, Inc. is printed in the bottom right corner. "Our Navy Photos, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11217" is printed in the bottom corner.
