Description:
Black & white print of a photograph showing ex-LST-1147 (U.S.S. Indra [ARL-37]) moored between buoys in an unknown location. Although originally authorized as LST-1147, the ship was converted to a Landing Craft Repair Ship (ARL) during construction and was eventually commissioned as ARL-37 (U.S.S. Indra). The main deck features extensive additions, including an extended superstructure and several fixed crane arms. Two smaller craft, an LCM and some type of smaller boat can be seen along the ship's starboard side. The ship's name is stamped in gold lettering near the bottom and "Our Navy Photos" is printed in the lower right corner. "Ex LST 1147" written on back in pencil.
