Description:
Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-1070 (U.S.S. Electron [AG-146]) tied up next to AG-14_ in an unknown location. The photograph was taken after LST-1070's conversion and reclassification as a Electronics Parts Issue Ship and renamed as AG-146 (U.S.S. Electron) in 1947 but prior to its second reclassification as a General Store Issues Ship and renaming as AKS-27. Several new structures can be seen on the main deck while several sailors can also be seen on boson's chairs repainting or performing maintenance on the port side of the ship. The ship's name is stamped in gold lettering near the bottom and a copyright mark for Our Navy, Inc. is printed in the lower right corner. "Ex LST 1070 --- RECLASSIFIED to AKS-27" written on the back in pencil.
