A set of 438 digital photographs, images, and other files related to the preparation and execution of invasions at Normandy, France and Iwo Jima during World War II. A number of the images include LSTs or other landing craft and naval operations while others focus on the preparation or air operations. Many of the images include captions or portions of articles, indicating the come from books or other publications.

Several photographs show wounded and deceased soldiers, and may contain graphic content.
