A copy of the 11th Edition (1943) Bluejackets' Manual that was owned and used by Mr. Orvel W. Krebs during his service as a MoMM 2/c (Motor Machinist's Mate, 2nd Class) aboard LSM-140 in the Pacific Theater of World War II. The Bluejackets' Manual acted as an instruction and reference manual for U.S. Navy sailors and servicemembers. Included inside the front cover is a small typed section recounting LSM-140's initial landing at Red Beach Two, Iwo Jima on 19 February, 1945.
