Digital copy of a photograph showing Girden Thagard, Yeoman 1st Class (YN1) standing on the 02 level of LST-727, using binoculars, just in front of or behind the conning station. The ship appears to be in port with other ships or facilities alongside and behind it. Mr. Thagard appears to be dressed in USN dungarees with a PFD, sound-powered telephone, and gunner-talker's helmet on.
