Description:
Print of a photograph showing a sailor, possibly Frank A. Farrell Jr., in undress whites posing at the forward starboard davit of LST-980 (U.S.S. Meeker County). Two other crewmembers can be seen on the main deck of the ship in the background, and further behind an unidentified shoreline is visible. No information is provided on where the photograph was taken, but context suggests it was most likely taken at the Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek in Virginia.

A caption written in pen on the upper right corner of the back reads "LST 980 1946" while a watermark near the center of the back indicates the print was made by Walmart on 8/20/2014.
