A color photograph of the building in Fort Knox, KY constructed in 1942 to simulate the tank deck of an LST (landing ship, tank) for training and testing purposes. A red minivan (Ford Winstar?) is visible in the right foreground. The photograph was taken in December of 1999, according to information written on the back in pen. The writing, in full, states "DEC 99. LANDING SHIP, TANK (LST) BLDG. FORT KNOX, KY" and is written in permanent marker. The final words (Fort Knox, KY) are slightly smeared.
