Description:
Collection of 35+ photographs taken of LST-1041 (U.S.S. Montgomery County) and crewmembers by crewmembers of LST-1041. Photos all purportedly taken in 1945, either during the Okinawa-Gunto Operation or during Occupation Services following the War's end. Majority of the photographs show either individual crewmembers in various locations aboard ship or the LST-1041 herself from various angles. Several show other LSTs (LST-628, LST-221) or similar vessels nearby. Photos are numbered in the order in which they were stacked when donated; no indication of thematic or chronological ordering.
