Description:
Scan of photo taken from Sword Beach of starboard bow of LST-293 high and dry (on D-Day) waiting for high tide with bow doors and ramp open. At least two, and possibly four men can be seen at the bow of the ship; one is walking along the beach, one may be on the ramp, and one or two appear to be on the main deck. The silhouettes of two ships out at sea can vaguely be seen at the right and left edges of the photograph along the horizon.
