Scan of photo from Conning Tower of LST-293 over davit as it rests on Sword Beach during the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944 in Normandy, France. A number of vehicles can be seen on the beach, having already been disembarked from various ships and landing craft. The bow of a second LST can just be seen to LST-293's left and what appear to be two other landing craft (LSMs? LSTs?) seem to be stuck futher up the beach due to the tide.
