Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-282 sailing on an unidentified river. No vehicles or other cargo is visible on the main deck and all 6 davits are empty. The ship also appears to have no defensive guns at the bow. Crewmembers can be seen lining the railing of the main deck, however. The photo appears to have been taken from a small motorboat sailing ahead of the LST. Context of photograph's contents suggest the photograph may have been taken during the ship's maiden voyage from the initial shipyard to a shipfitting station. "LST-282" written on back in green.
