Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-849 (U.S.S. Johnson County) shortly after launching at the American Bridge Co. shipyard in Ambridge, PA on 3 Dec., 1944. The ship is missing a number of key exterior features including the defensive AA guns, davits, other pieces. The photograph appears to have been taken in heavy fog or a storm. "LST 849" is written in regular pencil and "Johnson County LST-849" in green colored pencil on the back.
