Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-847 shortly after launching at the American Bridge Co. shipyard in Ambridge, PA on 17 Dec., 1944. The ship is missing a number of key exterior features including the defensive AA guns, davits, other pieces. The ship's name is stamped in gold lettering at the bottom and "Our Navy Photos, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11217" is printed in the bottom right corner.
