Digital copy of a black & white portrait of Mr. Joseph E. Rutledge from 1944. Mr. Rutledge worked at the Evansville Shipyard (owned & operated by the Missouri Valley Bridge & Iron Co. Shipbuilding Division) during World War II and collected them items in this accession. Mr. Rutledge was also recognized and received a citation from the Missouri Valley Bridge & Iron Co. for improvements to the design and construction of LSTs during his time working at the Shipyard.

"J Rutledge --- 1944 62 --- Dear put the wright thought in my mind" is written on the back in cursive with a black pen.
