Title:
US Navy Sailors in Dress Whites
Object ID:
2017.063.11
Object Name:
Photocopy
Description:
Photocopy of a photograph showing 4 US Navy sailors in dress white uniforms posingtogether in an unknown location. The English sign and palm tree in the background suggest this was perhaps taken in a southern, coastal (or island) region of the United States. It is unclear if these men were part of the crew for LST-1059, though their inclusion in the Myers donation suggests they were. Mr. Dick Myers does not appear to be in the photograph. LST-1059 served in the Pacific Theater during the final year of World War II and participated in Occupation operations following the war's end.
