Title:
U.S.S. LST-247
Object ID:
2017.009.020
Object Name:
Print, Photographic
Description:
Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-247 sailing in an unidentified location. No cargo is visible on the main deck and both davits appear to be empty. The ship bears the mottled camoflage paintjob used for vessels serving in the Pacific Theater. The ship's number is stamped in gold lettering at the bottom and "Official U.S…" can be seen printed in the lower right corner. Writing in pencil on back suggests the photograph may have been taken in August of 1945.
