Description:
Black & white print of a photograph showing LST-265 at a beach, possibly near the Naval Amphibious Base (now Joint Expeditionary Base) Little Creek, Virginia during a training exercise. Trucks, jeeps, and other cargo is visible on the main deck and both davits are loaded with LCVPs. The bow doors are open and the ramp is lowered with men working on the beach in front of the ship. Several other men can be seen in the foreground working with something. The ship's number is stamped in gold lettering at the bottom and "Our Navy Photos" can be seen printed in the lower right corner. Writing in green on back states" USS LST-265 ONI", likely for "Our Navy, Inc." rather than Office of Naval Intelligence.
